The boy in the forest
Written for a short film by filmmaker Dany Duarte of Fri Film, “Boy” follows a young boy cycling through a vast, ancient forest. As the music grows from innocence and curiosity into freedom and wonder, another presence seems to move quietly above him, watching over his journey from beyond the treetops. Orchestral textures and cinematic dynamics create a world where nature, memory and imagination intertwine — a story of childhood, discovery and an invisible bond that never leaves him.
fuel
Written for an upcoming documentary by filmmaker Ali Ibrahim, whose earlier work includes One Day in Aleppo, created with Syrian filmmaker Feras Fayyad, Fuel is inspired by families in northern Syria forced to produce fuel from recycled plastic to survive. Dark strings, percussion, synthesizers and sounds recorded from the film create a stark portrait of hardship and resilience, while children’s voices bring light and hope to the darkness.
